Why Do We Feel Pain?

Pain, is one of many effective ways our body used in communicating to our mind, it’s your own system’s way of saying that somethings going on… something that is not normal… or something’s not right.

It was such a smart sensor which is programmed into our brains and each of our veins. A substance that is called nociceptors.

Why do we feel pain?… Simple…it’s a warning.

If you have a cut or something, it hurts because your system is telling you to treat it.

If your tooth aches, your system is telling you to protect, take care of your teeth.

If your stomach is aching it might be asking you to feed him.

Simple as that, because we humans tend to neglect small things that’s happening to us.

Imagine if we don’t feel pain… we could bleed to death and die without even knowing that we have an open wound. We could starved to death, and we may never even know when our body needs to eat or even drink and there’s a possibility that we might tend to forget to breath because we don’t feel like we needed to. But thanks for the pain that keeps on reminding us the tasks that we need not to neglect to the point that it has become automatic to our system.

Pain is an automated system that God programmed in our body, it’s like an anti-virus that is warning us about our Negligence or Carelessness.

The fact that we may never care for our body because we’re receiving no warning at all is dangerous for our lives.

That’s why pain is installed to us, to warn us of any unnecessary occurrence that we must be aware of.

Pain also teaches us lessons in a way that it would leave a mark in our memories, our mind has more ability to remember events that occurs to us when it happens with pain along with it. In reality, painful things are hard to forget.

When we were young and learning to walk, we fall and hurt ourselves, thus teaching us unconsciously that in order for us not to be harmed we should learn to balance and avoid falling. When we were just learning to ride a bike, or stand on roller blades, pain was there to teach us the lesson.

Ironically pain was there for you to avoid it, and that leads us into learning.

But there are times that pain is too much for us to handle, thank God He also installed to us a “panic fuse”. Before the pain manages to devastate our system, our system shuts the pain sensor down when it knows that the hurting is already unbearable.

After the lesson that pain teaches us… we’ll appreciate life as peaceful as it should have.

For me… Pain is like darkness, it has a negative impression to us but the truth is, darkness was there for us to see the light.
